Terroir is the unique combination of natural factors that influence the taste and quality of grapes and, consequently, wine.  Terroir includes elements such as soil, climate, elevation, amount of sunlight. All of these factors together create a distinctive character in the wine.  In essence, terroir is nature’s “signature” that imparts unique qualities to the wine. Khashmi Saperavi very well expresses the uniqueness and specialness of the terroir, whose range does not exceed the village of Khashmi and is one of the small microzones in Georgia. It is an especially characterful and distinctive wine with high acidity and typical aromas of black currant, cherry, black plum, and pomegranate. It stands out with its great aging potential.
